Hi,

If I try to restore any package, I get the following from tlmgr (I
picked intopdf at random):

# tlmgr restore intopdf
Available backups for intopdf: 46963 (2018-03-17 10:29)
# tlmgr restore intopdf 46963
Do you really want to restore intopdf to revision 46963 (y/N): y
Restoring intopdf, 46963 from /usr/local/texlive/2018/tlpkg/backups/intopdf.r46963.tar.xz
TLUtils::check_file: neither checksum nor checksize available for /tmp/8JK7tE23SN/P4D_czKs9a/intopdf.r46963.tar.xz, cannot check integrity!
running mktexlsr ...
done running mktexlsr.
running mtxrun --generate ...
done running mtxrun --generate.
tlmgr: package log updated: /usr/local/texlive/2018/texmf-var/web2c/tlmgr.log

After that, intopdf was actually rolled back to r46963.

Is this expected?

Thanks,

Yes it is. I will try to silence these warnings on restore.

Should be now fixed in the sense that restores and unwinding of failed
updates does not issue warnings about missing checksum/filesize
information.
