Folks,

I have recently reinstalled TL2018 on Windows 7 with the medium scheme
and can no longer include EPS files with
\includegraphics[width=22.2mm]{layouts/\layout/resources/sie-logo-black-rgb}
Could not find default_rgb.icc
| base\gsicc_manage.c:2025: gsicc_set_device_profile(): cannot find

xdvipdfmx:fatal: pdf_ref_obj(): passed invalid object.
A couple of days ago it was perfectly working. As well an uptodate
TL2018 on FreeBSD 10.4-STABLE is working.

How can I fix this? I am at lost.

The icc files are there, gray, rgb, etc.

Regards,

Michael

It turns out to be a bug in Ghostscript:
https://github.com/vectorgraphics/asymptote/issues/73
https://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=699722
Fix:
http://git.ghostscript.com/?p=ghostpdl.git;a=commitdiff;h=c8c01f8c4164
http://git.ghostscript.com/?p=ghostpdl.git;a=commitdiff;h=13418541a5ae

That's why it is not failing on FreeBSD because the GS port has not been
yet updated, it is still at 9.24. On Windows I have swapped the exes and
gs_init.ps, but that is really an ugly hack.

Can we initiate a downgrade of bundled GS for Windows meanwhile?

Those are bugs in gs-9.24, and should have been
fixed in the present gs-9.25.
Here icc profiles can be read without problems on Windows.
Sorry I can't understand your case.
If there are same complaints, we can downgrade
do gs-9.23, which is said to have a security
problem in -dSAFER.

Best,
Akira

Sorry I can't understand your case.
Now I can reproduce your error.
I will investigate the problem. If I can't solve
the problem, I will downgrade to gs-9.23.

I had made a stupid mistake.
Fixed in r48831. I hope that it works after the next update.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the reports.

We are aware that 9.24 doesn't work, downgraded to 9.23 therefore, and
then upgraded to 9.25 when it was released.

The current version in TeX Live is 9.25.

If you still have 9.24, please update your TeX Live installation and
tell us whether the problem still exists. Many problems reported by
TeX users were solved in 9.25.

Regards,
Reinhard
